Mayor of Karachi Orders Immediate Road Repairs Across City


KARACHI: On the directives of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the Swift Response Team of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has accelerated work to fill potholes and repair excavated portions of roads across various parts of the city on an emergency basis. The initiative aims to provide immediate relief to citizens facing difficulties in commuting and to improve the smooth flow of traffic.



According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Mayor Wahab emphasized that potholes and excavated portions on roads not only cause inconvenience to citizens but also disrupt the smooth flow of traffic, resulting in congestion at various locations. He directed the KMC Swift Response Team to identify such locations and immediately undertake the filling of potholes and trenches so that citizens can travel with greater ease and convenience.



Priority is being given to urgent works aimed at improving the condition of roads and maintaining smooth traffic flow across the city. As part of the ongoing emergency response, the Swift Response Team is carrying out work to fill potholes on roads, which will help improve traffic movement and reduce difficulties faced by citizens.



Mayor Karachi reiterated that providing better municipal services to citizens is among the key priorities of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation. Necessary measures will continue to be taken to improve the condition of roads, streets, and major thoroughfares in different parts of the city.
