ISLAMABAD, Thousands of Afghan nationals are being repatriated daily from Pakistan through the Chaman and Torkham borders, with yesterday’s count reaching 19,344 individuals. This ongoing process is part of efforts to return illegal foreign nationals to their home country.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, temporary transit camps have been established in districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan to assist the returning Afghans. These camps provide food, bedding, and medical facilities. Furthermore, after negotiations with Afghan authorities, the Torkham border will remain open until 11 pm today to facilitate the repatriation process.
