Loralai, In a peaceful and orderly municipal election held at the Municipal Hall, Muhammad Tahir Khan Nasir was elected as the new Chairman of the Municipal Committee Loralai, securing a decisive victory over his opponent, Haji Zahir Khan Musa Khel.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the election process was conducted under the supervision of Pride Officer Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Zehri, with support from Election Commission staff. The polling, which spanned from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, saw 32 out of 35 councilors casting their votes. Muhammad Tahir Khan Nasir, affiliated with MPA Haji Muhammad Khan Toor Otmankhel, received 28 votes, significantly outpacing BAP candidate Haji Zahir Khan Musa Khel, who garnered 4 votes.
The election proceeded smoothly without any interruptions, and all safety and procedural protocols were duly observed. Election Commissioner Tayyab Bukhari and Aro Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Zehri expressed their gratitude to all councilors and praised the robust security arrangements that contributed to the integrity of the voting process.
In his victory remarks, Chairman Nasir committed to serving the community diligently, with particular focus on improving city sanitation management. He emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among all colleagues to advance the city’s development.
