Dera Ismail Khan, Dr. Aamir Abdullah, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Minister for Industries and Crafts, Technical Education and Amalgamation Affairs, inaugurated three new units in the industrial zone of Dera Ismail Khan. These units, including food and beverage factories as well as LPG energy and chemicals industries, represent a significant step in the region’s economic development.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the inauguration included the foundation stone laying for two additional units. A total investment of Rs.660 million has been made in these new units under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC), providing around 1500 job opportunities.
In his address, Minister Abdullah highlighted the impact of the economic zone on providing halal livelihood opportunities and boosting local employment. He emphasized the future potential of the zone, predicting the need for more such zones due to its success. The ceremony also featured remarks by the Chief Executive Officer of KPEZDMC, Javed Iqbal Khattak, and other dignitaries, who noted the rapid development and infrastructure establishment within the zone over the past two years.
The event concluded with the distribution of shields to investors and a tree-planting ceremony by the minister, symbolizing the commitment to both economic growth and environmental sustainability in the region.
