Khalil George Launches Campaign on Violence Against Women Across Pakistan’s Train Network

Islamabad, Minister for Human Rights Khalil George inaugurated the Transit Advertising Campaign about violence against women, a significant initiative aimed at raising awareness on the issue across Pakistan. The campaign, launched during a ceremony at the National Library in Islamabad, will display banners on all trains from Khyber to Karachi, covering the entire stretch of the country.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister George emphasized the crucial role of women in the survival of the world and addressed the need for timely justice to combat violence against women. He noted that while violence occurs in every country, the delivery of justice is essential to eradicate it. Highlighting Pakistan’s unique respect for women, he stated that the country is probably one of the few where women are given immense respect. The event also saw Prime Minister’s Special Adviser on Human Rights Mashal Malik and Chairperson Nilofar Bakhtiar advocate for the recognition of women as equal human beings.
