Islamabad: The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, met with Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani at the Parliament House, marking a significant step in the ongoing enhancement of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan. According to Press Information Department, the Chairman Senate praised the Ambassador’s efforts in fortifying the ties between the two countries and emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to maintaining a relationship built on mutual respect and shared goals. Discussions covered a wide range of topics, including political and parliamentary cooperation, trade and economic collaboration, and regional connectivity.
The Chairman Senate referred to the recent state visit by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Pakistan as a pivotal moment that elevated bilateral relations to a strategic partnership. Emphasizing the role of parliamentary diplomacy, he advocated for stronger institutional connections between the legislatures of both nations and the reactivation of parliamentary friendship groups.
