Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab inaugurated the newly reconstructed and beautified “Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk” in Saddar Town, emphasizing its significance as a symbol of the love and respect of Karachi’s citizens for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The site has been enhanced with special lighting and cleanliness arrangements to mark the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the Mayor highlighted the Prophet’s teachings as a guiding light for humanity and underlined the importance of following his Sunnah. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad, city council members, and a large number of citizens. Mayor Wahab expressed that the chowk reflects the religious identity and devotion of the people of Karachi, and announced plans for its maintenance by the local community associated with the Electronic Market.
