Kachhi, In a pivotal meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kachhi, Captain Retired Jameel Ahmed Baloch, the District Health Committee addressed critical healthcare issues, including staff absenteeism, medicine shortages, and the activation of all health centers. The committee also announced a new initiative to combat illegal medical practices within the district.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the assembly brought together prominent healthcare officials, including District Health Officer Dr. Ayaz Ahmad Qureshi, Medical Superintendents from District Headquarters Hospital Dhader, Civil Hospital Machh, and Civil Hospital Bhag, alongside other key stakeholders. The meeting aimed to bolster the healthcare services provided to the local population by ensuring the presence and dedication of medical staff and improving the overall healthcare infrastructure.
During the meeting, a special committee was formed to spearhead a crackdown on illegal clinics, unlicensed laboratories, and the distribution of counterfeit medicines a significant step toward safeguarding public health. Drug Inspector Gulab Khan Kakar, who was also present, is expected to play a crucial role in this enforcement push.
Deputy Commissioner Baloch emphasized the current administration’s commitment to enhancing the availability and quality of health services. He urged all health department professionals to fulfill their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication, underscoring that the community’s well-being must be a top priority.
This session marks a critical effort by Kachhi’s district administration to address the longstanding challenges in local healthcare, aiming to ensure that residents receive reliable and effective medical care without the interference of fraudulent practices.
