ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, targeting criminal activities and enhancing security measures. Under the directive of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, these operations have led to the scrutiny of over 456 individuals and resulted in several arrests and confiscations.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and were closely monitored by zonal SPs. The comprehensive operations involved checking 127 households, 77 shops, 24 hotels, 190 motorcycles, and 81 vehicles. As a result, 18 individuals and 16 motorcycles deemed suspicious were taken to the police station for further verification, and arrests were made for illegal weapon possession with two pistols and ammunition confiscated.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the purpose of these operations as part of an ongoing effort to suppress criminal elements and bolster security in the city. The police maintain a firm stance against various criminal activities, including those by land grabbers and drug dealers, ensuring that such operations are conducted indiscriminately across different areas of the district.
