ISLAMABAD: Senior officials of the Islamabad Capital Police, including Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq and Zonal Superintendents of Police (SPs), convened open courts to address public grievances, particularly focusing on land encroachments and civic issues, as part of an initiative to enhance community engagement and service delivery.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the open courts were organized in alignment with the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The sessions, held at the respective offices of the DIG and Zonal SPs, were conducted under the Open Door Policy to ensure that citizens’ complaints were heard and addressed promptly. The officials instructed relevant officers to implement legal actions on the filed complaints and to provide compliance reports within a specified timeframe.
DIG Tariq underscored the police department’s commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against violence targeting women and children, asserting that citizen welfare is a top priority. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the rule of law and ensuring equal treatment for all citizens. He reinforced the police force’s dedication to upholding justice, transparency, and public service, while affirming its primary responsibility to protect lives, property, and dignity of the citizens.
