Islamabad Police Detain 21 Outlaws, Seize Drugs and Weapons in Citywide Crackdown

Islamabad: The Islamabad Police have successfully detained 21 outlaws in various areas across the city over the past 24 hours, seizing a significant cache of drugs and weapons. This operation comes under direct orders from Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of a broader strategy to curb criminal activities in the capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operation led to the apprehension of multiple individuals involved in various criminal activities. The Aabpara police team arrested an individual named Li Guilal, from whom 2000 tins of beer and 96 liquor bottles were confiscated. In another instance, the Golra police team detained Ali Maqbool and Arslan, recovering a 9mm pistol. Similar operations across the city led to the arrest of others including Muhammad Sohaib, Faraz, Shakeel Hussain, Gul Rehman, Umair Khan, Mazhar, Ameen, and Banaras, with police seizing handguns, hashish, heroin, and illegal petrol.

The crackdown also targeted proclaimed offenders and absconders, resulting in the arrest of nine such individuals from different regions of the city. All accused have had cases registered against them, and investigations are ongoing.

Further directives were issued by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad, emphasizing the importance of the safety and security of the citizens and the need for rigorous actions against anyone compromising public safety. The police have encouraged the public to cooperate and report any suspicious activities through the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline or the “ICT-15” mobile application.

This intensified police action reflects Islamabad Police’s commitment to eliminating crime and ensuring a safer environment for its residents.
