ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to combat criminal activity, the Islamabad Police conducted extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, checking over 373 individuals, 162 households, 69 shops, 69 hotels, 217 motorcycles, and 79 vehicles. The operations were carried out under the directive of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. These measures led to the detention of 15 suspicious individuals and the seizure of 21 motorcycles for further verification. Additionally, arrests were made for possession of illegal weapons, resulting in the recovery of two pistols and ammunition.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the primary goal of these operations is to intensify efforts against criminal elements and bolster security throughout the city. The Islamabad Police plans to continue these operations in various districts, targeting not only criminal elements but also land grabbers and drug dealers.
