Islamabad: The Islamabad Police have taken 20 individuals into custody in connection with various criminal activities, recovering substantial quantities of drugs, liquor, and a firearm. Authorities have registered cases against those arrested, and investigations are currently underway.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, a series of operations led to the arrest of 11 suspects, resulting in the seizure of 2,170 grams of hashish, 2,100 grams of ice, 15 bottles of liquor, and one pistol with ammunition. In addition, a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders saw the arrest of nine more individuals.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi’s directives have driven the police’s ongoing efforts to combat crime in the federal capital. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of residents, underscoring that maintaining peace and security is their utmost priority.
Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” as part of a collaborative effort to eliminate crime from the community.
