Islamabad, Pakistan and the Netherlands have agreed to explore further collaboration in various fields, strengthening their bilateral relationship. This decision was reached during a meeting between the Dutch Ambassador to Pakistan, Henny Fokel de Vries, and Pakistan’s Minister of Commerce and Industries, Dr. Gohar Ejaz, in Islamabad.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ambassador de Vries expressed satisfaction with the existing strong trade ties between the two countries, especially in the textile sector. She also conveyed the Netherlands’ eagerness to explore additional opportunities for trade growth, identifying technology and academic exchange as potential areas for collaboration.
Minister Dr. Gohar Ejaz underscored the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council in Pakistan, highlighting its importance as a mechanism to streamline foreign direct investment. The meeting signifies a mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation in various sectors, indicating a positive trajectory in the economic and academic relationship between Pakistan and the Netherlands.
