Islamabad Capital Police Enhances Communication Network for Better Security

Islamabad, The Islamabad Capital Police has introduced a modern system in the communication network of Safe City Islamabad to bolster security and reliability. The new wireless call system installed on the TETRA network is set to enhance the wireless communication among the police force.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the initiative follows directives from the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. The new feature in the police communication system is designed to automatically secure police department calls and transfer them to police stations throughout the district via computer systems. This new system, which includes recognized encryption, will ensure that all calls are securely maintained.

The CPO Safe City/Traffic highlighted that this upgrade in the communication system is part of the Islamabad Capital Police’s effort to deploy all available means for the protection of the lives and property of citizens. The collaboration with federal government authorities aims to strengthen the foundation of security using technical resources. The police also urged citizens to cooperate by reporting any suspicious activities or items to the police station, the emergency helpline “Pukar-15,” or the “ICT-15” app.
