ISLAMABAD: In an effort to curb crime and tighten security across the capital, the Islamabad Police conducted extensive search and combing operations, resulting in the thorough checking of over 230 individuals.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were carried out following directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The initiative was supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. During these operations, 92 households, 23 shops, seven hotels, 177 motorcycles, and 53 vehicles were inspected. Additionally, two individuals and 16 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the purpose of these operations as a strategy to crack down on criminal elements and enhance citywide security. The operations are part of an ongoing effort across various districts to tackle crime, including targeting land grabbers and drug dealers.
