ISLAMABAD: In alignment with directives from Federal Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, the Islamabad Police has intensified efforts to address citizen concerns, prevent crime, and bolster field policing.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ali Wasim conducted an open court at his office, allowing citizens to voice their issues directly. He instructed officers to address these concerns promptly and on merit, emphasizing that resolving citizen complaints efficiently remains a priority. Additionally, open courts are being held across districts, with zonal SPs also participating to ensure concerns are heard and acted upon. The police maintain a zero-tolerance policy on violence against women and children, ensuring citizens’ safety and property protection.

In a related development, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza led a meeting with key police officials to assess the city’s law and order situation. The meeting focused on the crackdown on drug dealers, inspection of police stations, and improvements in patrolling and security measures. SSP Raza called for intensified efforts against criminal elements and emphasized the importance of effective surveillance and security at sensitive locations. He also stressed the need for the expeditious completion of under-construction police stations, ensuring they meet prescribed standards and provide adequate facilities for both citizens and police personnel.
