Planning Minister Advocates for Inclusive and Domain-Specific Civil Service Recruitment


Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has called for a more inclusive and domain-specific approach to civil service recruitment, highlighting the need for reforms aimed at enhancing competence and performance within the public sector. Speaking at a multi-party consultative session on civil service reforms, Iqbal underscored the importance of aligning recruitment and promotions with demonstrated capabilities.



According to Radio Pakistan, the minister emphasized the growing necessity for digital literacy in public administration, advocating for the integration of artificial intelligence to boost decision-making and productivity. He presented a framework for civil service reforms designed to establish a specialized, merit-based, accountable, and technologically advanced public administration. This initiative aims to address Pakistan’s contemporary development challenges effectively.
