Over 1.75 Million Registered for Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme


ISLAMABAD: Over 1.75 million individuals have registered for the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme, according to Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication.



According to Radio Pakistan, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, while addressing a media briefing, stated that approximately 1.5 million tokens have been generated under the scheme. Of these, 680,000 tokens have already been redeemed at petrol stations nationwide.



The Minister announced the establishment of a 24-hour control room at the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication to handle complaints related to the scheme. Beneficiaries encountering issues during registration or at petrol stations can report their complaints by calling 9771.



Shaza Fatima highlighted that the registration and complaint processes are conducted via ordinary SMS, facilitating access for individuals without smartphones or internet connectivity.
