Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry convened a meeting with senior officers to assess the security landscape, crime prevention strategies, and police operations in the federal capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting included AIG Operations Hamza Humayun, SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, and SSP Security/Admin Muhammad Shehryar Khan. The officers provided briefings on the current law and order situation, deployment of police personnel, actions against criminal elements, and security arrangements. Discussions also covered police deployment, patrolling strategies, and the protection of key locations to ensure timely delivery of police services.

IGP Chaudhry instructed the officers to intensify security measures to safeguard citizens’ lives and property and to expedite actions against criminal activities without bias. He stressed the enhancement of field policing, patrolling, and checkpoint arrangements. The importance of leveraging modern technology, human intelligence, and available resources for crime prevention was highlighted, along with the need to continuously assess crime trends for proactive measures.

The IGP underscored the importance of resolving citizens’ complaints promptly and delivering effective police services. He urged police personnel to maintain professional conduct to bolster public trust in law enforcement. Further directives included ensuring security at critical and sensitive sites, maintaining high alertness levels, and enhancing coordination among police units, emphasizing that citizen protection, crime prevention, and effective field policing remain top priorities for the Islamabad Police.
