Islamabad, In a strong call to action, Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi emphasized the crucial role of political leaders in promoting reconciliation and mutual respect to advance societal peace. Speaking at the Peace-FLIX International Conference, the Minister underscored the responsibility borne by political parties in the quest for harmony and stability.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Solangi praised the efforts of the National Counter-Terrorism Authority and other organizations in their fight against terrorism and extremism. He highlighted the significant contributions of national and international think-tanks and peace organizations in facilitating research and dialogue to understand the evolving dynamics of peace and conflict.

The Minister pointed out the importance of maintaining societal peace, especially as Pakistan navigates through various economic, political, and environmental challenges. He stressed that the media plays a pivotal role as an agent of change, challenging extremist ideologies, promoting inclusivity, and fostering dialogue within the community.

Solangi also acknowledged the initiatives undertaken by the US Embassy in Islamabad towards establishing sustainable peace and preventing conflict within Pakistani society. This acknowledgment signifies the collaborative efforts required at both national and international levels to address the complexities of maintaining peace in today’s world.
