Indian Envoy Accused of Orchestrating Diamond Tycoon’s Kidnapping in Caribbean

London, A shocking revelation has emerged from a UK-based newspaper, Daily Mail, involving an alleged conspiracy by an Indian special envoy to kidnap a diamond tycoon in the Caribbean. This report follows closely on the heels of allegations of India’s involvement in the killing of a Sikh leader in Canada and a plot to assassinate another in the United States. These incidents are raising concerns about the Indian government’s tactics against its opponents, both domestically and internationally.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Gurdip Bath, an India-born resident living in a lavish Mayfair mansion, is accused of orchestrating the kidnapping plot of Mehul Choksi, a diamond tycoon, in Antigua. The plan allegedly involved luring Choksi to an apartment near his home using a London-based property consultant, Barbara Jarabik. The court claim in Antigua and Barbuda alleges that Choksi was then ambushed by individuals posing as police officers, beaten, tasered, and forcibly taken to Dominica on a yacht.

This incident adds to a series of allegations against the Indian government. The New York Times previously reported that an Indian national, Nikhil Gupta, was indicted for attempting to murder Sikh leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in New York City. Furthermore, these events are connected to the assassination of another Sikh leader, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, in Canada, potentially straining diplomatic relations between the United States, Canada, and India.
