Karachi: World Oceans Day is being marked today globally to draw attention to the critical role oceans play in sustaining life and the necessity for their sustainable management. The observance aims to enhance public awareness about the impact of human activities on the oceans and encourage actions to ensure their long-term health.
According to Radio Pakistan, this year’s theme, “Reimagine: Beyond the world we know, a new relationship with our ocean,” calls for a transformation in the way humanity views and interacts with oceanic ecosystems. The initiative seeks to inform the public about the importance of oceans and promote strategies that will protect these vital resources for future generations.
