ISLAMABAD: A citywide search operation led by the Islamabad Police resulted in the inspection of over 464 individuals and several properties in an effort to reduce crime and enhance security, police officials said. The operation was part of a broader initiative to target criminal elements following directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were overseen by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by zonal SPs. The checks included 215 households, 22 hotels, 107 shops, 206 motorcycles, and 113 vehicles. Authorities transferred 17 suspicious individuals and 28 motorcycles to police stations for further verification. SSP Operations highlighted that the operations aim to restrain criminal activity and improve security in the area. The police continue to take action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers across the district.
