IGP Islamabad Launches Paperless Driving License System

ISLAMABAD: In a significant move towards modernization, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has inaugurated a fully paperless licensing system for the Islamabad Traffic Police. This initiative aims to enhance public convenience and meet contemporary requirements.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the inauguration was attended by Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk and other senior traffic police officers. The new system, designed to save time and improve service delivery, eliminates the need for applicants to provide medical forms, photographs, and multiple documents. Instead, individuals are required to present only their national identity card to complete the legal process and obtain a driving license.

IGP Rizvi, who inspected the paperless licensing counters, emphasized the value of this initiative in improving efficiency. He commended CTO Virk and his team for their swift completion of the project. Plans are also underway to digitalize the licensing fee system to further ease the process for the public.

The Islamabad Police’s commitment to modernizing services reflects their ongoing efforts to implement transparent and user-friendly solutions. This paperless system represents a key milestone in the use of technology to enhance public service delivery.
