ISLAMABAD: In a bid to enhance security and crack down on criminal activities, Islamabad Police has conducted extensive search and combing operations across various areas of the federal capital. The operations, initiated under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, resulted in the thorough checking of over 867 individuals, 464 households, 35 hotels, 86 shops, 373 motorcycles, and 125 vehicles.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, these operations were carried out under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. The search efforts led to 24 suspicious individuals and 27 motorcycles being taken to police stations for further verification.
SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized the objective of the operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and improve overall city security. The police are actively conducting such operations in different areas throughout the district, maintaining indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
The police have urged citizens to report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or contact the emergency helpline “Pucar-15”.
