IGP Islamabad Focuses on Enhancing Citizen Services and Police Training

Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, convened key meetings at the Central Police Office aimed at improving citizen services and police operations. During these sessions, he underscored the importance of fostering a public-friendly atmosphere within police establishments and optimizing resource utilization to ensure public safety and order.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meetings were attended by senior police officials, including DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar and other senior officers. IGP Islamabad emphasized the need for officers to execute their duties with integrity and dedication, highlighting the protection of citizens’ lives and property as a primary objective for the police force. He also called for the implementation of modern training systems to enhance the professional skills of police personnel.

IGP Rizvi reviewed the progress of ongoing training programs at the Capital Police College and assigned new responsibilities to officers to elevate training standards. Additionally, discussions were held on administrative issues, police welfare, and measures to improve citizen facilities at police stations.

The IGP also held an open court session under the “Open Door Policy,” where he addressed concerns from citizens and police officers, providing immediate solutions and reiterating the significance of addressing public grievances promptly and fairly. He assured that his office remains accessible to the public.

In a gesture of appreciation, IGP Rizvi honored retired DSP Zulfiqar Haider for his exemplary service, presenting him with an honorary police shield.
