Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem held a meeting at the Central Police Office with police employees and their families to address their concerns. During the session, IG Punjab issued directives for immediate action to alleviate various issues faced by the employees and their families.
According to Punjab Police, the meeting saw IG Punjab Abdul Kareem responding to multiple requests, including financial aid and employment opportunities for the families of deceased officers. The son of Shaheed Head Constable Amjad Hussain requested financial assistance, prompting IG Punjab to instruct the Additional IG Welfare & Finance to provide support. Similarly, the son of late Constable Jameel Ahmad’s request for recruitment was directed to the Additional IG Punjab for consideration, and a similar directive was given for the son of Shaheed Constable Riaz Hussain to the DIG Welfare & Finance.
In departmental matters, Lady Constable Gul Fashan’s request regarding proceedings was referred to the Additional IG Training for necessary action. Constable Kamran Hussain’s transfer request was addressed to the Additional IG RMP for relief. Additionally, a request from eight TASI’s for inclusion in the Probationer Course was forwarded to the Additional IG Training for consideration. The meeting also included orders on applications concerning discipline, administration, promotion, and welfare.
