IG Islamabad Reviews Law and Order, Emphasizes Modern Policing


Islamabad: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, convened a significant meeting with key police officials to review public safety and traffic management strategies in the federal capital. The meeting focused on assessing crime prevention measures, the application of modern technology, and improving traffic flow, with an emphasis on making the policing system more efficient and citizen-friendly.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting, attended by all Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs), Additional Inspector Generals (AIGs), Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), and the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, explored various initiatives aimed at enhancing law enforcement capabilities. IGP Rizvi instructed officers to leverage modern technology, including Safe City cameras and digital monitoring systems, to protect citizens and prevent crimes. He stressed the importance of data-driven policing and advanced resources to deliver high-quality police services.



IGP Rizvi highlighted that strengthening public confidence in the police requires effective surveillance, prompt responses, and the adoption of modern policing practices. He also directed the implementation of a strategic approach to ensure smooth traffic flow, reduce road accidents, and provide safe travel facilities. This involves the strict enforcement of traffic laws, continuous road monitoring, and the use of advanced traffic management systems, alongside public awareness campaigns.



In a separate meeting, IGP Rizvi met with Muhammad Bakhsh, a renowned Pakistani cyclist, praising his international achievements and hard work. Rizvi commended Bakhsh for his success and expressed hope for his bright future, recognizing his role as an inspiration for the younger generation and a source of national pride.
