ISLAMABAD: In an effort to curb crime and target criminal elements, the Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search and combing operations across various areas of the federal capital, resulting in the thorough checking of over 365 individuals. The operations were initiated under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by SSP Security Operations Islamabad Suleman Zaffar and monitored by respective zonal SPs. The comprehensive checks included 202 households, 19 hotels, 53 shops, 197 motorcycles, and 63 vehicles. As part of the operation, 10 individuals deemed suspicious and 21 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification.
SSP Security Operations stated that these measures aim to strengthen security in the city and intensify the crackdown on criminal elements. He highlighted that such operations are being regularly conducted across different areas of the district. The Islamabad Police remain committed to taking action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
