Gwadar: Following directives from Deputy Commissioner Hamudur Rahman, Assistant Commissioner Mir Jawad Ahmed Zahri conducted a thorough inspection of Gwadar city and its surrounding areas, aiming to ensure the provision of public services and address citizens’ complaints promptly. His tour included multiple key locations where he engaged directly with residents to understand and resolve their issues.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Zahri’s first stop was the main bus terminal in Gwadar, where he addressed complaints regarding the illegal storage of excess fuel by bus operators. After inspecting the buses and speaking with passengers, he issued strict instructions to the transport union and bus owners to comply with fuel storage regulations, emphasizing that passenger safety was a non-negotiable priority. Following the bus terminal visit, Zahri made an unannounced inspection of several well-known restaurants in the Javed Complex, scrutinizing their cleanliness and food quality. He mandated immediate improvements in sanitation and food standards to ensure public health safety.
The Assistant Commissioner also visited the main market in Sarbandan, where he noted that prices were higher than in central Gwadar. He issued a directive for wholesalers to adopt a new official price list to prevent overcharging, stressing the importance of adherence to ensure relief from profiteering for the citizens.
