Hub Advances Critical Water Supply Project Under CMIT Supervision

Hub: The Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT) is actively supervising key development initiatives in Balochistan to enhance governance and ensure public service provision. On Monday, CMIT members Manzoor Hussain and Abdul Ghaffar Chakza assessed progress on vital projects by the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department in Hub district, focusing on improving local water infrastructure.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, during their visit, the CMIT officials monitored the Sakran Pipeline Scheme Project Site, where they were briefed on the efforts to expedite the completion of essential water supply schemes. Axion PHE Hub Balach Amir and SDO Mansoor Buzanjaku discussed a significant project that aims to deliver clean water to densely populated areas including Gulshan, Amirabad, Mengalabad, Galaxy Town, and Gharibabad. The project, valued at 6 crore rupees, involves laying an 8 km pipeline from Hesakaran Irrigation Canal to Galaxy Town via the Sap pumping Station and includes the construction of two water storage tanks.

The CMIT members emphasized the inspection team’s role in collaborating with local departments to ensure these projects not only meet their deadlines but also fulfill their goal of improving service delivery. Additionally, the team reviewed water supply logistics from the main pond and irrigation canal to the pumping station in Gadani, indicating a comprehensive approach to addressing the district’s water needs.
