Government Announces Reduction in Petroleum Prices


Islamabad: The government has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products for one week, effective immediately. The decision is expected to impact consumers and industries reliant on fuel across the country.



According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy, the price of petrol has been lowered by 74.28 rupees per litre, setting the new price at 299.50 rupees per litre. The price of High Speed Diesel has also been decreased by 67.31 rupees per litre, bringing the new price to 311.47 rupees per litre. The announcement was disseminated through Radio Pakistan, highlighting the government’s initiative to adjust fuel costs.
