Ankara, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, held extensive discussions with Turkish military and defense leaders during his official visit to Turkiye. The meetings focused on enhancing bilateral defense cooperation, counter-terrorism efforts, and regional security issues.
According to Senate of Pakistan, General Mirza met with various high-ranking officials including General (R) Yasar GULER, the Minister of Defence, and commanders of the Turkish military branches. The discussions reiterated both nations’ commitment to strengthen their defense ties and security collaborations. The visit also saw General Mirza being honored with the ‘Legion of Merit’ for his contributions to these bilateral relations.
