CAIRO: In a significant diplomatic engagement, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, along with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Egypt, convened in Cairo to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations, regional stability, and fostering international cooperation.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar conveyed greetings from Pakistan’s leadership and reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to strengthening ties with Egypt. The discussions also highlighted recent diplomatic exchanges that have bolstered cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting addressed regional and international developments, emphasizing the need for peace and stability in the Middle East. President El-Sisi acknowledged Pakistan’s role in promoting dialogue and regional peace, expressing hope for continued negotiations to achieve lasting security and prosperity.
The foreign ministers also discussed the R4 framework, a platform for dialogue and policy coordination among the four nations. The leaders expressed optimism that ongoing collaboration would advance their shared interests and contribute to regional development and prosperity.
