ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasized the need to broaden the Access to Finance ecosystem to foster investment, enhance construction and agricultural activities, boost exports, generate employment, and achieve sustainable, inclusive economic growth.
According to Radio Pakistan, the minister made these remarks while presiding over a meeting of the Access to Finance Steering Committee in Islamabad. During the meeting, Aurangzeb assessed the progress of initiatives aimed at expanding affordable and inclusive finance in sectors such as housing, agriculture, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), exports, information technology, and renewable energy.
The finance minister outlined the objective of channeling greater financial-sector capacity towards productive investment, enterprise creation, home ownership, agricultural productivity, and exports. He emphasized that these efforts aim to translate macroeconomic stability into stronger, private sector-led, and inclusive growth. Aurangzeb reiterated that access to finance is ultimately about expanding access to economic opportunities.
