Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has reiterated the government’s commitment to economic reforms aimed at bolstering institutions, enhancing the business environment, and fostering sustainable economic growth. In a meeting with German Ambassador to Pakistan, Ina Lepel, held in Islamabad, Aurangzeb underscored the importance of these reforms in fostering investor confidence.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister presented an overview of Pakistan’s recent macroeconomic advancements, citing improvements in foreign exchange reserves and efforts to uphold fiscal discipline as key achievements. Aurangzeb emphasized the government’s strategy for sustaining macroeconomic stability, progressing structural reforms, and creating a more favorable climate for investment and business activities.
Ambassador Lepel expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s ongoing initiatives towards economic stabilization and structural reforms. She reaffirmed Germany’s interest in fortifying economic and business ties with Pakistan, indicating support for sustained engagement and increased collaboration between German and Pakistani businesses.
