ZHOB: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Forces, visited Zhob District in Balochistan to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with troops stationed along Pakistan’s Western frontiers. The visit underscored the military’s commitment to the region and its personnel amid ongoing security challenges.
According to Radio Pakistan, the visit commenced with Eid prayers and special supplications for the peace, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan, as well as for the Shuhada, who have sacrificed in defense of the nation. The Field Marshal extended Eid greetings to officers and soldiers, acknowledging their grit, resolve, operational readiness, and vigilance against foreign-sponsored terrorism.
During his visit, Field Marshal Munir paid tribute to the troops’ courage and sacrifices in safeguarding the nation from terrorism and hostile threats. He addressed the recent terrorist incident in Quetta, attributed to Indian-sponsored elements, stating that such acts would not weaken the resolve of the Pakistan Armed Forces or its people. He reiterated the commitment of the Armed Forces to work with law enforcement and the people of Balochistan to combat terrorism.
The Field Marshal was received by Commander Quetta Corps upon his arrival and laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, honoring those who have died in defense of the country.
