Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian conversed over the phone on Eid-ul-Azha, discussing regional peace initiatives and expressing mutual appreciation for each country’s efforts towards fostering stability. According to Radio Pakistan, the Iranian President expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for Pakistan’s significant contributions to peace efforts. President Pezeshkian also acknowledged the support of regional nations such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Türkiye. Prime Minister Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s solidarity with Iran amidst the current crisis and praised Field Marshal Munir’s dedication to restoring peace.
