Chairman Senate Calls for Prayers for Global Peace on Eid-ul-Adha

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has called for global peace and extended Eid-ul-Adha greetings to the Muslim community worldwide. He urged Muslims to prioritize societal welfare and unity over personal interests.

According to Press Information Department, Gillani emphasized the importance of sacrifice, inspired by the example of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS), as a core value for societal progress. He urged all societal segments to work together for national development, setting aside personal prejudices and political affiliations.

Gillani also highlighted the need for economic inclusivity during Eid celebrations, encouraging support for those facing financial hardships. He paid tribute to individuals who have sacrificed for the country’s security and prosperity. Furthermore, he called on Muslims globally to pray for peace, especially for those in Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, expressing hope for relief and unity for the Muslim Ummah.
