Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha, exchanging greetings and discussing regional peace efforts.
According to Press Information Department, during the call, both leaders conveyed Eid ul-Adha greetings to each other and to their respective nations. Prime Minister Ibrahim acknowledged Pakistan’s role in the Gulf ceasefire and ongoing peace efforts, extending special regards to former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Prime Minister Sharif briefed his Malaysian counterpart on the progress of peace initiatives, highlighting the contributions of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar. Prime Minister Ibrahim praised these efforts, aligning them with the ideology of Quaid-e-Azam.
The conversation also touched upon concerns over violence in Lebanon and Gaza. Both leaders agreed to maintain communication on regional developments, with Prime Minister Sharif expressing his anticipation for a future meeting with Prime Minister Ibrahim.
