Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Mubarak Al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, engaged in a telephonic conversation to exchange Eid ul-Adha greetings and discuss regional peace initiatives.
According to Press Information Department, during the conversation, the two leaders conveyed best wishes to the peoples of their countries on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha. Prime Minister Sharif extended greetings to the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, and received reciprocal warm wishes from the Kuwaiti leadership.
The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s condemnation of attacks on Kuwait and expressed solidarity with its leadership. He highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to restore peace in the region and acknowledged the support from Kuwait and other friendly nations. The Crown Prince of Kuwait expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s role in regional peace efforts and affirmed Kuwait’s support.
Prime Minister Sharif acknowledged the diplomatic efforts of Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in advancing peace talks. The Crown Prince conveyed the Amir’s admiration for the Prime Minister and extended an invitation to visit Kuwait. Prime Minister Sharif reciprocated with an invitation for Kuwaiti leadership to visit Pakistan.
