Islamabad: Federal Ombudsman Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi met with President Asif Ali Zardari to present the institution’s performance report for the year 2024, highlighting a significant increase in public engagement with the grievance redressal body.
The report revealed that the Federal Ombudsman received 226,000 complaints in 2024, setting a new record and marking a 17% rise compared to the previous year. This increase suggests a growing public trust in the institution’s ability to address and resolve grievances effectively.
During the meeting, President Zardari acknowledged the ombudsman’s efforts in delivering quick and efficient relief to citizens. He stressed the importance of further strengthening the grievance redressal mechanism to ensure continued public satisfaction.
