Federal Minister Launches E-Appeal System for Federal Service Tribunal

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, today introduced the E-Appeal Management System (EAMS) and a video-link facility for the Federal Service Tribunal (FST), in a move intended to reform Pakistan’s judicial system. The initiative aims to enhance access to justice, improve transparency, and modernize judicial administration.

According to Press Information Department, the Development Wing of the Ministry of Law and Justice, led by Mr. Justice (R) Rooh-ul-Amin Khan, developed the EAMS. This web-based system has been implemented across all FST benches nationwide, providing a digital platform that streamlines the appeal process from registration to disposal. The introduction of the Management Dashboard and Web-portal aims to offer litigants, lawyers, and court officials more efficient access to case-related information, while the video link facilities available at several major city benches are expected to mitigate delays due to travel constraints.

During the launch ceremony, Senator Tarar reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to leveraging technology to strengthen the justice sector. He noted that the digital transformation of the FST is expected to improve service delivery, decrease delays, and make the justice system more transparent and efficient.

The event was attended by members of the Federal Service Tribunal, officials from the Ministry of Law and Justice, attorneys, and government representatives. It featured both physical and virtual participation, with all Tribunal Camp Offices connected via video link. Mr. Muhammad Javed, Director of Planning, provided an overview of the EAMS, underscoring its potential to enhance judicial efficiency and transparency for litigants and the legal community.
