President Zardari Begins Official Visit to Kyrgyz Republic


BISHKEK: President Asif Ali Zardari has arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic for a four-day official visit, marking a significant diplomatic event as the first visit by a Pakistani president since 1995. President Zardari was welcomed at Issyk-Kul International Airport by President Sadyr Japarov and was honored with a guard of honor.



According to Radio Pakistan, the visit aims to review the comprehensive spectrum of bilateral relations between Pakistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. President Zardari and President Japarov are set to discuss avenues to enhance mutual cooperation in key areas such as trade, investment, energy, minerals, agriculture, education, health, tourism, and the digital economy. The discussions will also focus on fostering people-to-people contacts and exchanging views on strengthening the long-standing ties between the two nations, as well as boosting regional cooperation.
