Islamabad, The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) celebrated the culmination of the 50th Specialized Training Program (STP) for Inland Revenue Service (IRS) officers at the IRS Academy in Lahore. The event was marked by the presence of Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana, Chairman of the FBR, who served as the chief guest, along with former chairpersons and senior officers of the FBR.
According to Federal Board of Revenue, Chairman Tiwana extended his congratulations to the graduating officers for successfully completing the demanding STP and conveyed his best wishes for their forthcoming careers. He highlighted the pivotal role of tax collection and compliance in national development, expressing confidence in achieving the revenue collection targets for the current year. The Chairman lauded the efforts of IRS officers in enforcing tax laws across Pakistan and acknowledged the Director General of the IRS Academy for providing exemplary training.
The ceremony not only served as a platform to recognize the hard work and dedication of the officers but also emphasized the importance of continuous learning and professional development in enhancing tax administration in Pakistan. The graduates, a group of 25 officers, were acknowledged for their outstanding performance during the program with certificates and awards.
The STP, known for its comprehensive and rigorous training, aims to prepare IRS officers with the necessary skills and knowledge for their future roles. The program covers a wide range of topics related to tax administration over a yearlong period. Following the successful conclusion of the ceremony, the newly graduated officers are set to join the ranks of Assistant Commissioner IRS in field offices, where they will undertake the responsibility of ensuring adherence to tax laws.
