Islamabad, In Islamabad, a new initiative has been launched to fortify public safety measures with the introduction of the ICT-15 mobile application for iOS users. This development comes as part of a focused effort directed by the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, to bolster the safety and security of the city’s residents.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the ICT-15 app is designed to provide citizens with a straightforward and rapid means to alert the police in case of any incident or emergency. The app allows for the sending of audio messages and images directly to the police, ensuring that the authorities can respond promptly.
To access this service, individuals must download the “ICT 15” app from the App Store. Post-installation, users are required to register their name, address, and mobile number. If an emergency arises, they can send an alert through the app, complete with audio or visual evidence of the situation.
Once an alert is received, the Islamabad Capital Police will make immediate contact to obtain more information. Following the registration of the complaint, the user’s details will be communicated to the relevant police station as well as to the Dolphin (Emergency Response Unit). A police team will then be dispatched without delay to provide the necessary assistance.
ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has assured that the Islamabad Capital Police are dedicated to maintaining citizen security and will rigorously oppose any threat to public safety.
