Mount Laurel, In a historic development for the Pakistani American community, Fauzia Janjua was recently sworn in as the first Pakistani American mayor of Mount Laurel, New Jersey. According to Embassy of Pakistan – Washington D.C, Ambassador Masood Khan congratulated Mayor Janjua during a virtual meeting, lauding her success as a source of pride for both Pakistan and the United States. Janjua, who hails from Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan, has been a strong advocate for community service, focusing on education for underprivileged children and prisoners.
