New York: Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud during the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York. The meeting underscored the strength of the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relationship and included discussions on regional security and recent attacks on Saudi Arabia.
According to Radio Pakistan, the two leaders welcomed the signing of an agreement on mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official/special passports. Ishaq Dar expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Kingdom and condemned recent attacks targeting Saudi Arabia. Discussions also covered the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to cooperation under the agreement to advance regional peace, stability, and security.
The meeting highlighted the importance of maintaining high-level exchanges and close coordination on bilateral and regional matters of mutual interest, reinforcing the longstanding ties between the two nations.
