Islamabad, 11 Oct 2023:In recognition of an ascended interpersonal connectivity between Pakistan and China following the inauguration of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi acknowledged the enriched symbiotic relationship between the two nations at a ceremony at the Pakistan National Council of Arts in Islamabad today, according to a press release by MOIB. Noting the educational ties, he indicated that over twenty-eight thousand Pakistani students are currently pursuing their studies in China, while the interest and participation in Chinese language learning within Pakistan are burgeoning at an unprecedented rate.
Solangi, referencing a 2022 joint statement between the two countries, emphasized that both nations have underscored the significance of people-to-people contact, tourism, and cooperation in cultural exchanges as pivotal for fortifying their bilateral relationship. The address reflected upon the tangible impacts of the CPEC, spotlighting not only its infrastructural and economic benefits but also its role as a conduit for interpersonal and cultural exchanges, thereby weaving a tighter social and diplomatic fabric between Pakistan and China.
